Praying for revival!

Mary, thank you for your question. I don't post many political things on my blog, simply because I don't have the time to manage it, but I would like to answer your question.
Nazi Germany was filled with hatred for Jews, and anyone who would get in the way of racial superiority. They believed their time was now, and no cost was too great to pay for peace. (That's what the dictator said-his definition of peace was odd, to say the least!)
Canada's rich diversity would not be fertile ground for that form of anti antisemitism. It would completely fail. I was not referring to that when I used this quote.
Here is the point I want people to think about:
1. Socialized medicine is not necessarily moral. 2. It is a common tool of dictators. Causing people to depend on the state puts them in a vulnerable position for tyranny. Many states have been taken over with this as one of the first steps. 3. The Nazi dictator moralized profusely about making unpopular decisions for the common good. He sounds familiar.
I do not agree with Canada's health care system, Mary. I do not think you are Nazis. My point is that that we must protect freedom, because this path has been taken before.
As an American, I see the steps following this path with legalized abortion, finding life solutions in death (euthanasia), giving the government authority in personal decisions that involve life and death, and a complete disregard for the rule of law.
I am not so arrogant as to assume that my people are superior to the common folk of Germany, or that my people are immune to being lulled into such a comfortable place that they could allow tyranny. Germany was morally and spiritually bankrupt.
America and anywhere, for that matter, must be challenged to righteousness, or they can be deceived as well. We all need the light of God's Word to keep us from being blinded.
