No Dad, I did not make them. There is a woman in the haciendas who sells them, and she is an artist. She wraps them up in brown paper and her son drives through all the neighborhoods on a motorcycle, with the tortillas on the back in a cooler. He drives by every day, and I buy that many for just under a dollar whenever we need them. When they come, I usually have four little eager birds around me begging for one fresh of the stack-they are still warm and soft.
Here in Cambodia, a package of 10 flour tortillas (and from Australia, no less!!) costs about $4.90! Lucky for me, I married a Hispanic woman who has perfected the art of homemade tortillas! The ones in this photo do look delicious!
